Question 1

Is OutfitterCrew free for guides and crew?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Candidate accounts are free, always. You build a profile, mark your availability, apply to jobs and message outfitters without paying anything.

Question 2

Can anyone see my candidate profile?

Accepted Answer

No. Candidate profiles are private. They are only visible to verified outfitter accounts inside the platform, and they are never indexed by search engines.

Question 3

What does it cost outfitters?

Accepted Answer

Outfitters pay one simple subscription that covers candidate search, unlimited job listings, messaging, the hiring pipeline and My Crew. There are no per-hire fees and no commission on wages.

Question 4

What kinds of roles are on the platform?

Accepted Answer

Only hunting and fishing operation roles: guides (hunting, fishing, species-specific), field crew (packers, wranglers, camp cooks, houndsmen, deckhands) and lodge or operations staff (lodge managers, housekeeping, preserve staff, taxidermists).

Question 5

What is My Season?

Accepted Answer

My Season is a candidate's working-year calendar. Instead of writing 'available seasonally', you mark the exact date ranges you are available, already booked or open to offers. Outfitters can then filter candidates by the dates they actually need to fill.

Question 6

What is a Last Minute Position?

Accepted Answer

When someone drops out mid-season, an outfitter can flag a listing as a Last Minute Position so it stands out to candidates who are free right now.

Question 7

What is My Crew and Rehire?

Accepted Answer

Anyone you hire moves into My Crew with their season history. Before the next season you can reconnect with people who already worked out, instead of starting the search from zero.

Question 8

Which countries do you cover?

Accepted Answer

The United States and Canada.

Question 9

Do I need experience to create a profile?

Accepted Answer

No. Experienced guides and people just out of guide school are both welcome. Your profile shows your real experience level so outfitters know what they are looking at.
